Badgerland Birding

Birds on the Niagara
- Birds on the Niagara is designed to promote interest in birding and wildlife conservation in Western New York and Southern Ontario.
Buffalo Falcon Cam
- The web cam at the University of Buffalo is currently down, due to a maintenance project.
Cornell Lab of Ornithology

East Aurora Bird Club
- The East Aurora Bird Club was founded in 1958 by a group pf people who had been involved in nature study and birding in East Aurora, NY. The club's purpose is to promote interest in and the study of birds, and encourage environmental awareness and conservation of habitat. Birders of all ages and levels of experience are welcome!
eBird
- eBird is a real-time, online checklist program, eBird has revolutionized the way that the birding community reports and accesses information about birds. Launched in 2002 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society, eBird provides rich data sources for basic information on bird abundance and distribution at a variety of spatial and temporal scales.

Hummingbird Migration Tracker
- Birdfeeders.com has built a community-driven migration tracker that uses Google maps to monitor migration patterns on a month to month basis.
Native Plant Guide
- a publication that's available in PDF format to help guide planting bird-friendly gardens with plants native to Western New York. Published by Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper.
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation
- The DEC's mission is to conserve, improve and protect New York's natural resources and environment and to prevent, abate and control water, land and air pollution, in order to enhance the health, safety and welfare of the people of the state and their overall economic and social well-being.
New York State Ornithological Association
- NYSOA is New York State's ornithological society. The objectives of NYSOA are to document the ornithology of New York State; to foster interest in and appreciation of birds; and to protect birds and their habitats.
New York State Purple Martin Project
- a collaborative effort of partners educating citizens in the conservation of Purple Martins, with the goal of increasing the declining Purple Martin populations throughout New York State.
New York Invasive Species Clearinghouse
- for information on the Emerald Ash Borer, as presented by Mark Whitmore, Forest Entomologist of the Department of Natural Resources of Cornell University in his February 2011 BOS program entitled "Invasion of the Emerald Ash Borer and How Bird Watchers Can Help With Its Management."
Project FeederWatch
- Get involved in this enjoyable means of contributing to avian research, as highlighted by Dr. David N. Bonter, Assistant Director of Citizen Science and Leader of Project FeederWatch in his Fall 2012 Vaughn Lecture: "Science at the Bird Feeder: What thousands of people and hundreds of small transmitters can tell us about bird behavior.
Project Snowstorm
- Project Snowstorm began with the historic snowy owl irruption of 2013-14 and is a continuing effort to learn about these majestic raptors.
