MONTHLY photos contributed by our members for October - 2026.
Incredible! Last year’s amazing record of the Broad-billed Hummingbird that was overwintered indoors locally and released where it was captured in April has returned to the SAME FEEDERS. Tom Riley’s feeder documented the hummer on September 30 (photo from Tom on the 2nd) and now the bird has been back to Kathy Tucker’s home feeders a street away!

Walter Parker was lucky enough to see this juvenile Black-legged Kittiwake as it exited the Niagara River at the Peace Bridge on the first.

The long-staying Scissor-tailed Flycatcher found by Gale VerHague at the Dunkirk Airport has continued into October! This is by far one of the most cooperative rarities ever! Gale photographed the bird on the first of the month at the same location.
