This blue morph Snow Goose was seen mixed in with a flock of Canadas on the 14th at Birdsong Parklands in Orchard Park.

The 13th was a BIG, widespread day of Tundra Swan movement. Skeins and skeins were visible throughout the day - thousands were on the move!

Ross's Goose originally found on March 23rd was seen continuing on March 24th at Lake Flavia in Cattaraugus County.

This Cattaraugus County Ross’s Goose continued into the 25th of the month when Josh Ketry took this photo. This bird was found by Ian Davies and Sarah Dzielski at Countryside Sand and Gravel Pits (Lake Flavia).

On the 19th, Kathy Hardiman took this splendid photo of a Ross’s Goose along the Allegany River at Olean, NY in Cattaraugus County. It is very possible this is the same bird that showed up to the northwest on the 23rd at Lake Flavia.

What migration season is all about...this Ruddy Duck was an unexpected surprise for Joe Mortellaro at Mirror Lake at Forest Lawn Cemetery on the 29th. This was a first eBird record of this species for this local hotspot!

Josh Ketry photographed this Northern Shrike in southern Erie County along Genesee Road on the 24th...a location made famous when Josh found a Western Kingbird in the same field last autumn!
